The Blizzcon Event. A huge gaming convention known to thousands of people all around the world, is being hosted at the Anaheim Convention Center in Anaheim, California on October 10th and 11th. This is the 3rd Blizzcon Gaming Convention and will offer a vast amount of activities, presentations, discussion, and more on everything from StarCraft, WarCraft, and Diablo.

The tickets themselves go on sale sometime in the next few weeks (date not yet given out) at the price of $100 USD per ticket. As the date draws closer more details about the Blizzcon will be given out on their homepage (www.blizzard.com).

Since I live in Canada this really sucks, but who knows maybe if I can pull a few strings getting to Anaheim for this convention won't be a problem. :P

Dreiven: Doing the Impossible

An interview with Dreiven was taken place after his 2-0 victory over Mondragon. Many people were suprised with the results and Dreiven was ecstatic with his victory. In this interview held by GosuGamers, he talks about his thought process during the Ro16, his future thoughts on the rest of the tournament and much more.

You can check out the interview with Dreiven HERE.

One thing to note was how much of an underdog that Dreiven was going into this match. From the GosuGamers Bet only 10% bet that Dreiven would come out on top, and damn did he meet the expectations of that 10%. The Mondragon and Dreiven combo put up one helluva show and you can bet that the Ro8's are going to be filled with more action than ever before.

After multiple action packed games between alot of famous foreign players, the Ro16 came to an end with only 8 players remaining. Draco, White-Ra, BRAT_OK, Dreiven, DinOt, lefNaij, NonY, and GOsia will continue on May 17, 2008 @ 4:30 PM EST where hundreds of others will tune in to see the battle royale.

P.S. I am working on getting some In-Game Pictures to add to this post, so it isn't just a bunch of text :P

Tonight's Proleague definitely has something that alot of people are looking forward to. The clash between "The Emperor" and the "Tornado Terran". WeMade FOX is standing at a nice 3rd place ranking in the Proleagues, while Air Force Ace desperately needs as many wins as possible being in last place in the Proleague ranks. Air Force Ace's line up looks okay but a victory against WeMade FOX doesn't seem like much of a possibility.

Last week, SC2GG Staff decided to poll our wonderful staff to see who would make the cut for our very own Top 10 poll. Writers, commentators, admins, and just about any staff member was allowed to submit their own personal Top 10. If you're familiar with American college sports you'll already be familiar with the system - #1 gets 10 points, #2 gets 9, etc. all the way down to #10, who gets 1 point. Add up the points from each individual vote cast, and whoever has the most total points in the end is ranked higher. So, without farther ado, here's our first Top 10!

SK Telecom T1 Point of View

At 4-3, T1 is now in sixth place in the Proleague standings - two spots out of the last playoff slot. Though it's still quite early in the season, their strong position after seven matches is just proof that T1 is much improved over last year and has the potential to surprise and impress. To maintain their current momentum, T1 will need to come away from its match against 9th-place OnGameNet SPARKYZ with a solid win. How does T1 stack up against OGN for their Monday night match?

CJ Entus Point of View
Source: HERE by p4NDemik1755

Well, CJ really really would like to forget last week ever happened. After a hard fought match versus STX SouL they came up just short in the Ace match, and they were taken to school by Samsung KHAN, with firebathero adding one more win against the maestro to his repertoire. They need a stopper bad to keep from falling below .500 - but that won't come easy against the #1 team in the league, Lecaf Oz. Its a rematch of last season's Round 2 final: CJ vs. Lecaf. Game on!

The OSL is finally nearing its end. With the Round of 16 matches starting is less than a week today, who knows what we'll end up seeing.

Flash has been doing very well the past few months so it looks like it's going to be a tough one on GGPlay to win his first match. While BeSt has been playing well the past few matches going up against NaDa isn't going to be easy, especially when NaDa is going to be practicing JUST TvP (His group is just him and 3 Protoss). Next one is a ZvZ where you know that July is looking for revenge from losing the last 2 matches against Luxury. Last but not least, Much and ... BackHo? Really don't know how he got here (Sorry BackHo fans) but I don't think he'll make it past Much. :S
