iCCup Island Tournament
On 4/1, Iccup will be hosting an exciting Island Tournament. We will see some rarely used strategies, units, and spells that only come into play on Island Maps. Will we see mass Disruption Web used on unloading dropships? Be ready for epic low economy and micro intensive games. Air play and Drops are the norm in these «Air Maps». Island Maps present a tendency for hilarious games, cheezes, and one basing. With these maps having a built in NR7 no rush 7 minutes, it will be interesting if randomer's will take full advantage of the maps. Most of these battles will employ Boxer-like micro when transports are the only way to get off the main Island. Although Testie managed to go 100-0 PvT on Neo Forbidden Zone, the map was blatantly imbalanced. This was largely because the longer size of the map allowed Recall and faster shuttles to be exceptionally good. On Island maps, Protoss versus Terran is somewhat of a fair fight, although Zerg is seemingly disadvantaged. On the map selection, we have preferred Island Maps over semi-Island maps. The latter plays out more like regular maps, and the first is more true to islands.
The format of the tournament will be:
Round one (32 Players): bo1 on map Snowbound
Round two (16 Players): bo1 on map Symmetry of Psy
Round three (8 Players): bo1 on map Gorky Island aka Gorky Park
Round four (4 Players): bo3 on map Hunters-Islands. All games on same map.
Round five (2 Players): bo3 on map Dire Straits. All games on same map.

Prizes will be awarded with coins used in the iccup store. These coins you can clearstats at anytime regardless of the 2 week wait time. 1st Place =40 coins
2nd Place = 30 coins
