It is NOT a virus. The main thing that virus detectors get all pissy about is the mod that allows you to run starcraft in Windowed mode (mods to run Starcraft in Windowed mode have existed for a very very long time, although for the last 5+ years nearly every virus scanner in existence has flagged the Windowed mode mod as a virus). If you don't believe me, try to dig up older versions of the anti-hack launcher that did not include the Windowed mode and see which ones your virus scanner says have viruses and which ones dont.

its not a virus, its the code that latches onto WC/SC that causes the trigger of the warning, since for the antihack to work, it has to effectivly hack WC/SC so it can see inside the program to tell if it is being hacked

You have to make your account here on ICCup, if you try to do it ingame, it will say that name is taken.

I ran into the same problem.

WTF is there really a virus contained in this file?? Avir keeps telling me that this installer contains a trojan so I don't really feel safe installing it! But I really wanna play, someone can tell me what to do ?

I'm trying to get a friend into starcraft and launcher won't work for him, he downloaded from the website and has the same version as I do - he installed it without any problems, he runs it and clicks launch starcraft broodwar but when he joins a game or says /ah it says he's not running anti-hack

Go to thy SC folder.
There thou shalt open "wmode.ini" in notepad.
Rewriteth the line "DblSizeMode=1" so that it sayeth "DblSizeMode=0".
Thy problem shalt now be naught but a tale of the past.

When I try to create an account on battle.net under the ICCup gateway, it says it's already taken no matter what I put in there (yes, even random letters and numbers), and it won't accept the password under my existing accounts. It works fine in any other gateway except this one. Help?
