Today one of the main Starcraft: Broodwar tournaments in CIS was held. Of course, we are speaking about Asus Spring 2008 cup. For this time only 37 players took part in it. Despite this fact, most of the top players were there. Such pro-gamers as: Rox.Androide, 3D.NotForU, Rox.Advokate from Russia and MYM.White-Ra, Rox.Alf è MYM.Strelok from Ukraine were fighting for the first prize. The cup was also attended by representatives of South Korea. There were three of them (Lyra.Project_kr and Co), but as it turned out they didn’t manage to win.

After a two hours delay and some technical problems, the tournament started. Nothing was to be done with it and all the players were complaining for the inconvenient keyboard layout change by CTRL + Shift. Fortunately, it was all for the problems and the games began. Spectators were making bets in totalizator provided by a famous manager Rox.Bruce.

Tournament leaders were determined pretty fast. They were Rox.Androide, Rox.Advokate, Rox.Alf, MYM.Strelok and MYM.White-Ra. I'd like to mention, that Ukrainians behaved very agressively and had all the chances to take top3. The young talanted Alf seemed to be unstoppable. It was also proved by his defeating of Androide. But to the joy of Russians, Advokate was able to restore justice and to gain victory with 2-1 score.

So, the prize places were diluted, though very few people believed in Advokate's victory over White-Ra, who was always good against terrans. But Russian was not born yesterday; he wins very easily and confidently with 2-0. And fans are exulting - may be Russia will not give up trophy? No! In this chess war (that’s the name of terran's mirror match because of their pronounced position war) the Ukrainian gets a victory...
