After a grueling process of elimination, two players are left standing to compete for the Ever 2008 StarLeague title. BeSt, who has been playing pretty damn well the past few months has an overall win-rate of 56% against Zerg and July who has been playing solidly the past few months has a 67% overall win-rate against Protoss. However, only one can take the title and that will be determined on July 12, 2008. Maybe since the Finals is in July, July will win? Stupid thing to think like that but who knows?


July is currently on the STX SouL team and has a pretty decent record against Protoss players. In the OSL itself he faced Rock and took an easy 2-0 victory and then played against BackHo in a Bo5 where he took a 3-1 victory. Statistically speaking, this should be a fairly close game (the score going 3-2 for either player) but with July having past experience dealing with this ultimate pressure and winning out and BeSt being new to the scene, I might want to say that things are looking good for July.


BeSt is a fairly new Protoss player who has been showing up all the other Protoss players as of late (but mind you that Bisu is on his way back to kick some ass). With his strong record over the past new months (record of 22 wins in the past 26 games ever since the Ever 2008 OSL started) his lack of experience under pressure is definately balanced out by his super mechanics. He's been put on the spot by his Proleague team (SK Telecom T1) quite a few times so hopefully that has helped him deal with pressure, but I can guarentee that the Ace match of a Proleague set is hardly comparable to the Ever 2008 OSL Finals! Last but not least, he's actually only faced Zerg once before in this entire Ever 2008 OSL which was against Luxury where he was down 0-2 in a Bo5 but miraculously came back and won the last 3 for a final score of 3-2. Maybe he'll do something similar going up against July and make the Finals just THAT much more exciting to watch.


So I suggest to everyone to take a break from whatever it is you got, sleep, food, StarCraft, any other game (who cares right? LOL), girlfriend, friends, msn, aim, and anything else you can think of to go watch the OSL Finals because it will be one you want to watch live! Plus, if you don't watch it live theres a 150% chance that it's going to get spoiled before you actually get to watch it via VOD or something.
