Last weekend, iCCup Clan League came to a dramatic and exciting end with LRM Evolutions and Noobs facing off for the championship finale. Although heavily favored to win a third ICC-CL title, LRM was hard-pressed to take out their rival, and the Noobs team put up a ferocious fight which brought the clan war to a close finish.

A mere glimpse of the exciting action that went down this weekend

The clan war got off to a shaky start for team Noobs, with LRM)Pike quickly taking out Nb.Karate in two ZvZ matches on Icarus and Fighting Spirit. The Noobs struck back, however, with Nb.IamAlfio defeating LRM)Oya 2:1 in a three-game PvP series. Of course, everyone's favorite British commentator rD.Sayle was there to cover some of the action, and livestreamed matches between A/B tour champion Nb.Astro aka [Kidcanada] vs Germany's number one player, LRM)Bakuryu. Although Nb.AstrO dropped the first game on Icarus, he managed to battle his way back from an 0:1 deficit in two amazing matches on Fighting Spirit and Empire of The Sun to defeat Bakuryu.

Team Noobs hard-fought comeback would quickly come to end, however, with the Hungarian Protoss monster, LRM)FleSs, eviscerating Terran-player Nb.TerroR 2:0, tying up the clan war 2:2, leaving it up to the 2x2 matches to determine the winner.

For the finale of the clan war, LRM sent out 2x2 Olympic-rank player LRM)Belladona, and LRM)FleSs to face Noob team's best 1x1 player, Nb.Beggar, aka BeggarTerran alongside Nb.Cuteboy. Naturally, one would expect BeggarTerran to pick Terran, but ended up using Zerg for the first game in the 2x2 series. The first 2x2 match was incredibly close, coming down to just a few units, and a secret nexus, giving Noobs the first win, and hope for a championship victory. Unfortunately for the Noobs, LRM)Belladona's 2x2 experience and LRM)FleSs' command of raw mechanics combined to win the next two matches for LRM Evolutions, giving them the Clan War 3:2, and winning 8 out of a total of 13 matches total.
