Some people only have the option of playing multiplayer VIA LAN.

This is the problem.
I mean really, is it this hard to understand the reason people are upset about this? Is there a good reason that so many people are clueless as to why we are mad at Blizzard for this?

but i believe that if sc2 wont allow lan without internet connection then there will be someone that will find some way to do something to solve this problem. it might take a while, but there is always a dark hero who saves the day

I signed petiton becouse I belive that this LAN issues is just greed oriented. Poor Blizz haven't got enuf money from the WoW now they need to sell games in partions of 3 (3x50$) and "fight piracy" by disabling LAN
