1. Version and Server
1.1 The latest StarCraft Patch, 1.16.1.1, is needed.
1.2 All Clan League matches are played on iCCup's StarCraft server, The Abyss.
1.3 It is mandatory to play all Clan League matches with Anti-Hack (AH) on.
2. Terminology
2.1 CLaW: Clan League and War
2.2 Clan: A Team participating in CLaW.
2.3 Clan Leader: The Leader of the Clan, responsible for Organization within the Clan and Conduct of Clan Members; there can only be one Leader per Clan.
2.4 Trusted Members: Clan Members of good standing, entrusted with assisting the Clan Leader; there can be a maximum of five Trusted Members per Clan.
2.5 Clan League: Event which is organized in Divisions of ten Clans each; within the Divisions, Clans play a series of matches against other Clans. A Clan League Season consists of nine Clan Wars, followed by Playoffs.
2.6 Clan War: Event which stages matches between two Clans; a Clan League War consists of four 1v1 matches and one 2v2 match. These matches are played as 'Best of Three'.
2.7 Wildcard: The right to postpone a CLaW match; postponed matches (called PPs) are played at a time mutually agreed on by the Clan Leaders or Trusted Members. Should no agreement be reached by the Clans, the iCCup Administration will set a date and time for the postponed match.
2.8 Walkover (WO): Technical Win awarded to a Clan whose opponent does not show up at the appointed time and channel, fully prepared to commence a match; the Clan having failed to show up is punished with a Technical Loss.
3. Participants and General Rules
3.1 The iCCup Administration reserves the Right of Admission for each and every official iCCup Clan League match.
3.2 Only accounts that have been properly registered on the iCCup Website with the correct Clan tag may participate in iCCup Clan League matches.
3.3 By signing up for an iCCup Clan League match, players confirm that they have read and understood these Rules, and that they will abide by them.
3.4 Players may only be members of a single Clan; it is the Clan Leaders' duty to ensure that Players are not members of another Clan, no matter whether this other Clan plays in the Clan League or not.
3.5 'Smurfing', shared Clan accounts or 'Double Clanning' will be punished as described below.
3.6 Players who are permanently banned from iCCup must not organize their Clans using Third Party Pages. Only regularly listed Players are allowed to participate in the iCCup Clan League.
3.7 In case of unforeseen problems, the iCCup Administration has to be contacted immediately.
3.8 Complaints about an Admin's decision have to be made in the CaA Forum, in the proper form.
4. Match Settings
4.1 All CLaW matches have to be played on 'Melee' mode; if Observers are present, matches are played on 'Use Map Settings' mode.
4.2 All CLaW matches have to be payed on Speed Setting '7 — Fastest'.
5. Prohibited Glitches and Tricks
5.1 Flying Drone
5.2 Flying Templar
5.3 Terran sliding Buildings
5.4 The Bug allowing units to remain stacked while moving or attacking
5.5 Allied Mines
5.6 Gas Walk, to get through blocked entrances or ramps (an incredibly common Bug, using a shift-click on gas near opponent’s blocked entrance to slide through any Unit or Building blocking the ramp)
5.7 Observer-over-Turret
5.8 Cargo Glitch (allows Worker Units to be pressed through any obstacle by repeatedly pressing Hotkey 'C', to return cargo)
6. Permitted Glitches and Tricks
6.1 Plague on Interceptor
6.2 Pressing-through of Units (not to be mistaken for 'Cargo Glitch' or 'Gas Walk')
6.3 Drops to defuse Mines
6.4 Mineral Walk
6.5 Manner Pylon
6.6 Lurker 'Hold' Position
7. Maps
7.1 The Maps for the first match are chosen by the iCCup Administration and are displayed on the ClanLeague webpage.
7.2 The Maps for the second (and third, if any) match are chosen by the loser of the match just played; 1v1 or 2v2 maps may be used for 1v1 matches, 2v2 or 4v4 maps may be used for 2v2 matches.
7.3 Maps may only be chosen from the current iCCup MapPack.
7.4 It is prohibited to play the same map twice in a Best of Three match ('Duplicate Map').
7.5 Once a match has been played, complaints about the map used aren't solved; it is the responsibility of all players involved in the match to make sure the correct map is used.
7.6 If a player uses an incorrect or duplicate map for the first time, he will be listed in the appropriate Forum Thread. Usage of an incorrect/duplicate map for the second time will result in the player being banned from participating in CLaW for one week; usage of an incorrect/duplicate map for the third time will result in the player being banned from participating in CLaW for two weeks; usage of an incorrect/duplicate map for the fourth time will result in the player being banned from participating in CLaW for the remainder of the ongoing Season.
7.7 An Incorrect Map is defined as a map of either the wrong size or as a map not being part of the current iCCup MapPack.
7.8 A Duplicate Map is defined as a map that has already been used in a Best of Three match.
7.9 A player may challenge a map as 'incorrect' or 'duplicate' up to three minutes into a match; if the opponent does not agree to host the match on a correct map, a CLaW Admin has to be contacted.
7.10 The Forum Thread mentioned in '7.6' will be updated every 24 hours; players and/or teams having been added to this list will be notified. (Accounts displayed on the list in bold type have commited more than one offence.)
8. Adding and Removing Players to a Clan
8.1 A player coming into a Clan must wait two days (48 hours) before he/she can participate in a Clan League match or a Clan War.
8.2 All players must have a team tag (e.g. iFu.Eonzerg or Troop [MB]). Clan Leaders have to ensure their own and their opponents' players use Clan tags; iCCup does not review complaints about this Rule after matches have been played.
9. Clan League Schedule
9.1 Clan League matches take place once a week; the default time is Saturdays, 17.00 CET.
9.2 Since the time displayed by the game server upon usage of the /time command is mostly incorrect, please use this website to inform yourselves about the current CET.
9.3 The default meeting channels for Clan Leage matches are ICC-A, ICC-B1, ICC-B2 and ICC-C.
9.4 The time and channel for a Clan League match may be changed by mutual agreement of the Clan Leaders involved.
9.5 Clan League matches must be reported in the proper way and place within 72 hours of completion; failure to report in the correct fashion and time may result in the match being disregarded by the iCCup Administration.
9.6 If a Wildcard is activated to postpone a match, the iCCup Administration must be informed accordingly.
9.7 Observers are permitted in Clan League only if both players agree on their presence; an exception are official iCCup Observers or Streamers/Casters, who must be admitted into any Clan League match they choose to observe or stream. Complaints about non-official observers are disregarded by the iCCup Administration.
10. CLaW Match Procedures
10.1 The Clan Leader or a Trusted Member has to generate Brackets for the Clan War within 20 minutes of the scheduled start of a CLaW match.
10.2 If a Clan does not show up within 15 minutes of the scheduled start of a CLaW match it gets punished with a Tech Loss.
10.3 At least one Captain (Clan Leader or Trusted Member) and three 1v1 Players are needed for a Clan League match; if these requirements are not met, the opposing Clan may take a Walkover (WO) for the complete Clan War. Valid proof of a Clan's absence or failure to meet the minimum requirements (number of players) must consist of a time-stamped (/time command) screenshot of the default channel.
11. Lag Issues
11.1 If there are lag issues in a 1v1 Match, both Clans should change players, because it cannot be known who causes the lag. If one Clan or player admits to lagging, only this player should be changed. If it is a 2v2 Match, all four players should be changed. If there is only one or no player at all who can replace a lagging player in a 2v2 Match, the opponent receives a Tech Win. If both Clans have only one or no players to replace, the 2v2 Match is deleted (activate Wildcard in this case).
11.2 If lag issues occur after some matches of a Best of Three already having been played, the score remains as it was prior to the lag.
12. Wildcards
12.1 Each Clan has one Wildcard per Clan War, without needing the opponent's confirmation. A Wildcard only postpones a single match of a Clan War, not the whole Clan War itself.
12.2 A Wildcard may only be used by the Clan Leader or a Trusted Member, and only up to ten minutes after the time a Clan War has been scheduled for.
12.3 Opponents must be informed about usage of a Wildcard, once it is being activated. There is no need to inform the opponents before a Clan War, but only at the time the Wildcard is actually being used.
12.4 A match postponed by a Wildcard must be played within 72 hours of the time the original Clan War has been scheduled; failure to adhere to this Rule may result in the iCCup Administration disregarding the postponed match.
12.5 Clan Leaders or Trusted Members have to provide time-stamped screenshots, to prove a Wildcard has been activated.
12.6 Default times for postponed matches are Sunday/Monday/Tuesday 17.00 CET, in the original Clan League channel; if both Clan Leaders agree, a different time may be used, but the 72-hours-deadline must be adhered to.
12.7 Postponed matches may not be postponed again.
12.8 Players displayng the 'red X' may not participate in postponed matches.
12.9 Div C can't activate Wildcards.
13. Disconnects and Pausing
13.1 If a disconnect occurs during the first two minutes of a Clan League match, the match must be repeated; players have to use the same race as in the disconnected match.
13.2 If a disconnect occurs after the first two minutes of a Clan League match, players may agree who caused the disconnects and act accordingly; if the players cannot agree, a CLaW Admin must be notified, to decide on the issue.
13.3 Repeated disconnects by the same player result in a Tech Loss.
13.4 Every player may pause or unpause a Clan League match at any time, without giving a reason; complaints referring to pausing or unpausing a Clan League match are not accepted by the iCCup Administration.
14. Judges
14.1 Judges (CLaW Admins) are on the server during the scheduled time until the completion of Clan League matches to help in resolving issues.
14.2 In case a Clan League match is postponed, a Judge may be present if he considers it necessary.
14.3 Decisions taken by iCCup CLaW Admins may be challenged in the Complaint about Admin Forum, and will be reviewed by the CLaW Super Admin or the Head Admin.
15. Clan League Points System
15.1 Clan League Points are awarded for each won match.
15.2 The winning Clan receives one extra point. Example: 'Clan A' defeats 'Clan B' 3-2; 'Clan A' receives 3+1=4 points, 'Clan B' receives 2 points.
15.3 Tech Wins are awarded with +3 points, Tech Losses are punished with -1 point.
16. Reports
16.1 All players have to report the results of their matches before the deadline for Clan League matches expires.
16.2 Submitting fake replays will result in reversion of the scores of the match.
16.3 Tech Wins may be reported either in the Chatbox or in the Clan League Forum; to report in the Forum, a new thread has to be opened.
16.4 In case of postponing a Clan League match by using a Wildcard, the Clan Leader or a Trusted Member has to take screenshots and report the Wildcard in the Clan League Forum.
17. Players changing Clans
17.1 Player may change their Clan only once in three Playing Weeks.
17.2 Clan Leaders have to ensure no player who isn't entitled to play participates in Clan League.
18. Abuses and Punishments
18.1 Showing disrespect, using offensive and vulgar expressions on the Clan League Forum or during a CLaW Match are strictly prohibted.
Each offence will be punished separately; punishments range from a warning, a ban from channel, a Tech Loss in the CLaW match to, in extreme cases, removing the player or Clan from Clan League.
18.2 Using software that is likely to give advantage over other players is classified as Cheating and is punished at the Administration's discretion.
18.3 If a player is absent for longer than ten minutes from the start of the Clan League match or Clan War, and if the Captain does not activate the Wildcard, the Clan is punished with a Tech Loss (0:2) for the match.
18.4 Skipping a Clan League match twice during a Clan League Season will result in removing the Clan from the Clan League. If a Clan is removed, the results of all matches are nulled for the stage. All the Clans of that Division will receive 3 points, no matter if they have already played against the disqualified Clan or not. Example: A Clan has skipped weeks 1 and 4, has lost week 2 (opponent got +5) and has won week 3; everyClan of that Division now receives 3 points for matches versus the disqualified Clan, even if they had 5 before (in this case, 2 points will be deducted). This ensures that every Clan of a Division receives the same amount of points (+3) from the disqualification of another Clan. A banned Clan is not accepted for the following Clan League Season.
19. Smurf Games ('Dummies')
19.1 Every player may use only a single (his own) account from his Team Roster.
19.2 Team Leaders and Players must not create accounts for other players to use; everyone must register their own account.
19.3 If it is proved that a player’s account has been used by someone else, the Clan in which the substitution has taken place is punished with 5 penalty points. The smurf account gets banned from Clan League and all its games will be reversed to 0-2. Repeated Abuse will result in the whole Clan getting banned.
20. Double Clanning
20.1 Every Player may play for one Clan only.
20.2 Even if a player plays CLaW for one Clan and Ladder Clan War for another Clan, he will be banned from CLaW and won’t be able to play again in the same Season, not even with another account. All his games will be reversed to 0-2. If the player is caught playing again, the Clan will be penalized with 10 points.
21. Merging clans.
21.1 Case one: If both(no matter how many) teams are playing in CL.
Suppose »Team (X)« is in DivA, »Team (Y)« is in DivB1. Leaders have agreed to merge, so »Team (X)« is then merged to »Team (Y)«. Then, this team should stay in Div B1. But if they choose to stay with the name from »Team (X)«, they can stay in Div A. If they want to change team name, higher division clan should change team name first and then merge lower division clan. If they don't do this, that team will be regarded as a new one and put in Div C.
21.2 Case two: If one team is in CL, the other is not.
Suppose »Team (X)« is in Div A, »Team (Y)« is not playing in CL. Leaders have agreed to merge and »Team (X)« is merged to »Team (Y)«. In this case, this team will be regarded as a disbanded and banned from CL till upcoming season. You can register for next season. If »Team (Y)« merges into »Team (X)«, they can keep playing for current season.
If you merge teams, dead team will be deleted, to make sure there's no double clanning.
22. Miscellaneous
22.1 If a player has not played at least one match for his Clan during the ongoing Clan League Season, he must not play in the Playoffs. If he play in Playoff, and opponent found out that it's illegal, scores would be set 2-0.
22.2 If a Clan reports more that two Tech Wins in Clan Wars, further Tech Wins will be disregarded.
22.3 If two Clans finish a Clan League Season with the exact same number of points, the Clan who has won versus the other in the Season's Clan War receives the higher rank.
